Mod Permission Suggestions

Mods should inherit Donators to start off.

- essentials.sleepingignored
everybody should get that^ It would be like letting people make it day with a bed

- essentials.fly
- essentials.item
- essentials.whois
- essentials.home.others

- essentials.spawner.*
- essentials.invsee.modify
- essentials.socialspy
- essentials.signs.*
- essentials.chat.url
- essentials.chat.magic
- essentials.chat.format

- essentials.signs.format
- essentials.signs.magic
- essentials.nick.others
- essentials.nick.color
- essentials.nick.magic
- essentials.nick.format

Idk what exactly the multiverse permissions are. But these are what I think they are:
- multiverse.core.*
- multiverse.portals.*
- - multiverse.core.create

Oh, and we should get kits back in.

I am in the middle if we get spawning self items or not. 1. we could abuse it but all Mods are good builders. 2. If someone lost all there items in the weird lag, we can give them back there items.
Sadly I can't donate because of my parents. This is my thoughts on this.

First off, yes I have seen what Mods have built. And not all of them can build.

Second of all, you wouldn't just give someone enchanted stuff if they claim they "lost it because of lag". Clearly your one who would use power very stupidly.

Most encompassing states using the word "All" are wrong. Being a mod does not mean you're a good builder.

As for other things, I never saw the need to refund items. If someone loses something through someone griefing, then tough shit.

And we have kits. Wood through diamond, except gold.

I agree that not all mods are good builders... And some will abuse, they will hand out or make a bunch of chests... Anywho, Basically with all the permissions you are trying to get mods would be pretty much admins... I agree with: fly, more homes (like 5 homes max though), signs, chat, and the ban thing...


I disagree with the rest. Here is why:
- enchant ---> This will only cause problems (i.e: I lost my level 72 diamond sword with fire and thunder and godmode and stuff during lag)

- whois ---> you see what city, state and country people are in, their ip and such... (i.e: boss950 quebec, quebec, canada ip ******** etc...)

- god ---> actually this one i dont mind i just didnt see it at first so ya this one i dont see why you couldnt get it... i mean we could still kill you anyways sooo...

- broadcast ---> it would get on people's nerves... (i.e: using it to answer people one word sentences to prove a point or being dumb with it...)

- spawnmob ---> we have reports of mods abusing other players so this would only make it worse...

- spawner ---> I don't even know what this is but I think it's to alter mobspawners so why would you even need that?

- everything related to nicknames ---> nope. there will be weird ass names and too many colors and stuff everywhere, we would need to create nickname rules like we did before but noone respected them so we took them away.

- social spy ---> we too like to have private discussions away from moderators in game so we wouldnt necessarily want that and admins use it mostly to monitor if people advertise other servers (well, i do at least) and we have had moderators advertise their own servers so ya...

- items ---> abuse of item spawning... if we give you that we might as well give you creative like what would be the difference -.-

- invsee ---> maybe only seeing but modifying would not be good to give...

Boss, I don't think an admin would talk about something serious through minecraft. They would probably use vent or something. Mods are also supposed to have social spy, it was just messed up (idk). For /i, it would be useful in a lot of ways. For refunding items and even for moderating the server. Some times, mods need tools.. Quick. For invsee, I actually found someone who had like 13 stacks of emeralds and 18 stacks of diamonds. I confronted him asking how many diamonds he had. He said he only had a stack of each. He lied. I started to take his diamonds away but leave a logical amount. He started taking the diamonds out so he got away with probably 5 stacks of each. If I had invsee I could have gotten into his nventory and taken them. I didn't know the exact source of the diamonds and emeralds so I didn't know what to do (ban, temp-ban, nothing).

A lot of this is implying that the mods are idiotic and incapable of being mature. Mods should have things like socialspy and whois to check up on suspicious people, broadcast for PSAs, and nicknames for when someone has a stupid nickname. (Like if a player named "Trees" changed their nickname to "Lollipops". Then a mod can fix that."

Otherwise, yeah, don't really need other things.

What about /i? And /enchant for a substitute for //?
Also, what about the multiverse commands? It would be nice if I had access to them all. Except for creating worlds because that would be stupid.

But there are times were a mod needs tools but they don't have anything and actually have to craft them. They used to have it, why don't they still have it? And /i doesn't mean build build build. I would think /gm is build build build.

Because the building rank tree and the community/trusted rank tree should be different. That's the only reason.

mod is the rank before admin. so is master builder. I think they should both inherit donators at least. I think after being in the community for this long and climbing the tree, the high ranks get a little treat Razz that may have sounded really weird. But I'm tired, so yeah.

I have to agree with Royce, the rank trees should at least be different. If you really want ./i or creative mode, try getting higher on the other tree.

It would be nice but, they are donators perks for a reason and it encourages more people to donate than to just beg for ranks and piss everyone off.
