only a very small hand full of people will be rank less because I used the original user list. I told you if you fixed the ranks (some of yours were not able to build) and converted the user section I would put them back in. 

If you don't understand how to edit the users quickly look up find and replace for notepad++

also if it's exploitable fix it. 


Otherwise I liked the idea of new ranks and permissions set, I even agreed to it.

TL;DR: While Iguanas CAN be fed on a mayonnaise only diet, it is hard to do and rarely worth the risk.

So explain to us how and why this new system is better, I like the idea that people just have to wait a period of time, but sense it's on some sort of time based couldn't someone just sit afk for hours upon hours?

and are there any ranks that need to be achieved similar to builder and ADV?

Essentials has a built in AFk kicker. And we can give out builder ranks manually of we want. I also don't want any of this tier shit again. That was way too confusing.

How was it confusing.

Those "ranks" in the permissions file weren't even actually used to rank people up. It was just used as inheritance so the permissions didn't look like a god damn mess.

In other words, it's the same shit as we always had, I just used less lines.

Currently builder is equal to loyal in every way other than the title is different, and its like this for every builder rank. Like ADV is the same as Personage in every way.

So this bring up the question of why to we even have builder ranks in the file, because currently there is no way to have 2 ranks at the same time and inherit permissions from both ranks (that i'm a where of). If some one has 2 ranks we just give them a prefix/suffix to look as if they have the rank when they don't.

So if we take out the builder ranks, and just give people a fancy little suffix then there's no point in having the tier system. Unless of course someone figures out if there's a way to dual rank, and how to set it up.

Dual ranks are doable. I've done them before. And yeah, the tiers were ok; it was just the double ranks that would litteraly never work. 

I still think that we should change the ranks and make it rank you up by time played. 

Get rid of builder ranks (seperate server for building)? I've made a hub type server with bungee and spigot. Tim says spigot is bad but it's really not. It's just an alternative to bukkit that has more features.

A revamp of the server with new ranks and features would be nice. I'm currently making a new version of my ender dragon spawn plugin.

You guys should leave ideas on things to add to the server while keeping it mainly the same (no factions...).

I didn't decide what was in the permissions. I copied what was there, took whatever reasonable suggestions that were given to me, and did general "cleaning". Granted, reasonable suggestions probably limited a lot, but I don't recall many people giving suggestions.

As for dual ranks. That's just you people not knowing how to rank.

/pex user [user] set group [group]
Removes the [user] from every group they're in, and puts them into [group].

To dual rank you use
/pex user [user] add group [group]
This adds [group] to [user] without changing any groups the [user] is currently in.

When you're promoting someone use the set one. When you're adding a dual rank, use add.

The only issue this has is, promoting someone with a dual rank means, you have to do set, then add. i.e. if someone has Builder/Trusted, and they're being promoted to ADV.

You have to set them to ADV, then add Trusted after setting them to ADV. But this way, issues with conflicting suffixes/prefixes are minimized.

tl;dr Trusted/Builder tree similarity is because I didn't get input on it, and dual ranks are a thing. And I've explained it before, but you guys are retarded or something?

Yeah dual ranks aren't that hard when you have a few. But when you have like 10 ranks and they all have a prefix and suffix version, it gets out of hand. I say just stick with a layout of the ranks. You'd spawn with the normal prefix and then go from there. You'd also be able to get the builder SUFFIXES. It would be much easier and cleaner if we stuck with the format of
[Rank] [Name] [BuilderRank]: [message]
I really don't want world names in there anymore. I mean it was cool for a while but now it's kind of just an annoyance that's there.

Spigot being bad is probably like Firefox being bad.

i didnt read half of this but it seems like the best way to do this is to have the loyalty points shit to a certain rank lets say loyal. and once u hit that than u r eligible to apply for a builder application which u need to be ranked up by an admin. than have the kicker plug in to kick afk people. yes it has 2 different permissions plugins but that seems like the only way  to make everyone happy unless loyalty points can do all of this.

Royce, I mean that there's 10 different ranks in the pex; each having its own one with a suffix and prefix.

And I was thinking of making a plugin that could make building ranks somewhat automated.

You have an admin check your builds and if it's good, the admin can add a point to you account. 5 points for builder, and it goes from there. 

I also like having loyalty points to rank you up.

what are the pros and cons.

And loop maybe add some builder ranks for people that earn them and have those ranks have commands that apply to building?
