Why am I banned?

I would very much like to be unbanned and be told why I was banned. I have no idea as to why I was banned, can someone please explain. I was also off the server when I was banned.

May I please explain myself. I was attacked by two people who didn't want me to follow them when I wasn't, then they attacked me when I was on my own somewhere else so I attacked back and one of them died (they had really low health) and the other jumped down off the roof of a building and died. I was standing right next to both of them when they died and so picked up some of their items. They came back and started attacking me without any warning so I disconnected because I didn't want to lose my stuff. As I am aware killing someone and taking their stuff isn't against the rules.
